Time and again, accidents occur in winter because sheets of ice break loose from the roofs of lorries or buses. With the help of de-icing systems and de-icing scaffolding from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik, this danger can be averted and road safety significantly increased. With stationary systems and scaffolding in modular design as well as mobile de-icing scaffolding, the quality manufacturer offers a wide range of products for greater safety on the road. While stationary installations are mainly used at service stations, truck stops or directly on the premises of haulage companies, businesses and municipal utilities/municipal facilities/depot yards, the mobile scaffolding also allows for completely location-independent ‘de-icing to go’.
Whether due to carelessness, negligence, time pressure or a lack of suitable equipment, long-distance and bus drivers too often fail to clear snow and ice from the roofs and tarpaulins of their vehicles. However, de-icing trucks and buses is not optional, but an absolute obligation. The Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) stipulate in Section 1 that no other road users may be endangered.
Forewarned is forearmed
Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik has the solution with its de-icing systems and scaffolding. "Forewarned is forearmed. I am delighted that more and more companies are installing our de-icing systems at their depots. Winters with heavy snow, ice and precipitation, as well as long periods of cold weather, have shown many people how important it is to de-ice vehicles. Demand for our de-icing systems and scaffolding has risen sharply," says Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of the Munk Group. The increase in road safety can be achieved very quickly, as all de-icing systems and scaffolding from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik can be delivered ex works within ten days.
Configure systems yourself using the modular system
Customers of Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik can quickly, easily and cost-effectively assemble their own stationary de-icing systems and scaffolding using a practical modular system. Three different platform lengths (1260, 1860 or 3060 mm) with the corresponding stair module are available for the de-icing systems. The systems consist of high-strength, stable and particularly robust aluminium profiles with a platform covering made of steel grating and a stable substructure. The stationary scaffolding with a standard platform length of 5210 mm can also be individually adapted to the customer's requirements. The stationary structures ensure maximum safety when walking on and working on the vehicles with handrails on the stairways, railings on the front and long sides, and safety doors.
New to the range: the preconfigured system
New to the range is the fully preconfigured de-icing system with a total platform length of 15.96 m and a platform width of 850 mm. With a platform height of three metres and a 1.1-metre-high railing, it offers ideal working conditions for de-icing or maintenance and repair of lorries and buses.
Mobile: the de-icing scaffold
Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik also offers mobile de-icing solutions. The mobile version of the de-icing scaffold is equipped with four swivel castors and can be set up quickly and safely without any tools. Assembly is carried out using plug connections and self-locking clamps. Under the motto ‘de-icing to go’, the rolling scaffolds can also be stowed in a mesh trolley for transport and loaded onto a lorry, making them particularly flexible and location-independent.
Also in use in summer
The de-icing systems and scaffolding from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik can remain in place all year round, as they are completely weather-resistant and maintenance-free. ‘This means they can also be used in summer, for example for repairs to truck tarpaulins or roofs,’ explains Ferdinand Munk. The structures are part of the Bavarian quality manufacturer's standard range, which not only enables fast delivery within ten working days, but also translates into a very good price-performance ratio.
