Five-fold success for Günzburger Steigtechnik

Company once again takes first place in the PVH vote. Further awards for innovation, training and employer appeal

31/03/2020

Press release

A total of five awards within a few weeks – an achievement that Günzburger Steigtechnik can certainly be proud of. The premium manufacturer from Bavaria is once again one of the top specialist trade partners and has been awarded first place for the sixth time in the business equipment category in the Production Liaison Trade (PVH) vote. Moreover, the business magazine Capital ranks it as one of the most innovative companies in Germany and, in a user vote by Initiative Mittelstand, the nivello® ladder shoe received the best rating of all solutions on the Industry Best List of 2019. According to Focus Money, Günzburger Steigtechnik is also one of the best apprenticing companies in Germany and the Cologne-based analysis institute Service Value found in surveys conducted in cooperation with the daily newspaper WELT that the family business enjoys a "high level of employer appeal" among those surveyed.

"We are naturally delighted about the five awards. We are particularly delighted that we are once again in the top rankings in the business equipment category of the PVH vote. The award for specialist trade partner proves that our high level of expertise in consulting makes all the difference. As a result, we offer our customers real added value and our partners in the specialist trade a clear competitive advantage. 'Climb smart' is valued on the market just as much as outstanding service", says Ferdinand Munk, Managing Director of Günzburger Steigtechnik GmbH

PVH vote: best overall score

With its top ranking, the premium manufacturer from Bavaria ranked among the top 3 in the business equipment category in the PVH vote for the 18th time in succession and can also once again be proud of its best overall score (1.80) out of all 122 companies evaluated. Günzburger Steigtechnik scored top marks in the categories of sales support and product innovation, blazing ahead of all other participants.

"In times of increasing digitalisation, we are supplementing our top customer support from person to person with smart service tools such as the new product configurator for stairs, bridging steps and mobile platform stairs. And it is precisely this combination of online solutions and expert advice that forms the basis of our continuing success. Personal contact has not lost any of its importance for us: we stand by specialist traders and specialist traders know that they can rely on us. The PVH award has confirmed this", Ferdinand Munk continues.

The award "Specialist Trade Partner" is presented annually by the Tools Working Group (AKW) of the Central Association of the Hardware Trade (Zentralverband Hartwarenhandel e.V.). (ZHH). The areas of occupational safety, plant equipment, fastening technology, abrasives/release agents and measuring tools, hand tools and precision tools are considered.

Four further awards

However, the success in the PVH vote is by no means the only honour bestowed on Günzburger Steigtechnik in recent weeks. According to the business magazine Capital, for example, it is also one of the most innovative companies in Germany. For this award, a panel of experts selected 442 companies from almost 1,800 candidates who stood out for their innovative achievements. The premium manufacturer was perceived a forerunner in the area of products and services. In a user vote by the Initiative Mittelstand, the new nivello® ladder shoe from Günzburg also received the best rating of all solutions on the Industry Best List of 2019. The innovative product immediately made it onto the list as a "best-of" product in the production technology and mechanical engineering category.

Günzburger Steigtechnik is also one of Germany's best apprenticing companies in the field of metalworking: this was the result of a recent study commissioned by the business magazine Focus Money and Deutschland Test and implemented by the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF). The 20,000 companies with the most employees in the country were assessed, and around 1,000 of them were awarded prizes – including Günzburger Steigtechnik, scoring 95.3 out of 100 points in total. The analysis institute Service Value, in cooperation with the daily newspaper WELT, also concluded in population surveys that Günzburger Steigtechnik is also one of the best employers in Germany. The company was certified as a "highly attractive employer".
