Caution - ice sheet: The Günzburg solution averts the danger

Truck drivers can free their trucks from snow and ice with Günzburger Steigtechnik de-icing equipment and scaffolding

Press release

Time and time again, winter causes accidents due to ice sheets falling from the roofs of trucks or buses. This danger can be averted and road safety significantly increased with the help of Günzburger Steigtechnik de-icing equipment and de-icing scaffolding systems. The quality manufacturer supplies a wide range of products for greater safety on the road with modular stationary systems and scaffolding as well as mobile de-icing scaffolding systems. While stationary installations are mainly used at service stations, car depots or at transport company and business premises, mobile scaffolding systems can also be used for "de-icing on the go" wherever you happen to need them.

Whether due to carelessness, negligence, time pressure or lack of suitable equipment – too often long-distance truck drivers fail to remove snow and ice from the roofs and tarpaulins of their vehicles. The de-icing of trucks is an absolute must – not a matter of choice. Paragraph 1 of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) stipulates that no other road users may be endangered.

Günzburger Steigtechnik has the solution with its de-icing systems and scaffolding systems. "Forewarned is forearmed. I am pleased to see that more and more companies are installing our de-icing systems at their depots. Winters with heavy snow, ice and precipitation as well as long cold spells have shown many people how important it is to de-ice vehicles. The demand for our de-icing equipment and scaffolding systems has risen sharply," says Managing Director Ferdinand Munk.

Günzburger Steigtechnik customers can assemble the stationary de-icing systems and scaffolding systems themselves quickly, easily and cost-effectively using a practical modular system. Three different platform lengths (1270, 1870 or 3070 mm) with the corresponding stair module are available for the de-icing systems. The systems consist of high-strength, stable and ultra-robust aluminium profiles with the surface of the platform consisting of a steel grating and a stable substructure. The stationary scaffolding with a standard platform length of 5210 mm can also be individually adapted to the customer's needs. The stationary structures with handrails on the stairways, railings at the ends and along the sides as well as safety doors ensure maximum safety when walking on the structures and working on the vehicles.

Günzburger Steigtechnik also supplies mobile de-icing systems. The mobile version of the de-icing scaffolding can be moved, thanks to four castors and can be set up quickly and safely without the need for tools. It is assembled using plug-in connections and self-closing locking claws. In line with the principle of "de-icing on the go", the mobile scaffolding can also be stowed in a mesh trolley for transport and loaded onto a truck, so that it can be used particularly flexibly and at any location whatsoever.

Günzburger Steigtechnik de-icing systems and scaffolding can remain set up all year round, as they are totally weatherproof and maintenance-free. "This means they can also be used in summer, for example, for repairs to truck tarpaulins," explains Ferdinand Munk. The structures are part of the Bavarian quality manufacturer's standard range,, which guarantees delivery within four weeks and also ensures excellent value for money.
