Quick help now comes in SafeCaddy®

Munk Rettungstechnik develops new mobile safety system

21/06/2023

Press release

Recognising dangers more quickly and transporting the necessary aids to the scene of an emergency as quickly as possible in order to save lives: this is exactly what first responders and security forces can now do with the new SafeCaddy® mobile security system from Munk Rettungstechnik. The innovative system was explicitly designed to optimise preventive and defensive fire protection as well as first aid in buildings and on construction sites or at events. Especially cool: The SafeCaddy® combines all necessary equipment in a single mobile unit. The technology and innovation leader is initially offering its innovation in three basic versions: Fire protection, as a mobile fire alarm system (BMA) and in the "First Aid" version.

The SafeCaddy® variants are each available pre-configured or unloaded and can also be subsequently expanded and retrofitted with additional accessories such as a tarpaulin with viewing window, an off-road sheet or further brackets to suit the user's specific needs.

"No matter what the situation: in an emergency, seconds can make the difference between life and death. With our new SafeCaddy® concept, first responders gain exactly this time and can start firefighting or life-saving immediate measures faster than ever," says Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of the Munk Group.

Extinguishing media and first aid equipment

The SafeCaddy® fire protection variant is equipped with a fire extinguisher with six litres of fluorine-free foam as well as a 2 kg CO2 extinguisher, the SafeCaddy® mobile fire alarm system with a 6 kg ABC powder extinguisher and also a 2 kg CO2 fire extinguisher. The centrepiece of the "First Aid" variant is, in addition to a large first aid kit (according to DIN 13169), a fully automatic defibrillator (AED) that can also be operated by laypersons. All SafeCaddys® from Munk Rettungstechnik also have a spacious aluminium box that can be loaded individually.

Ergonomic handling

Quick help is guaranteed. Thanks to its compact and lightweight design, as well as the large, profiled transport wheels, every SafeCaddy® from Munk Rettungstechnik can be brought to the scene of an emergency safely and particularly smoothly by just one person. In this way, emergency personnel and first responders can transport all their equipment from A to B ergonomically, back-friendly and quickly.

Always the right system

"With the fire protection and mobile fire alarm system models, we are not only providing facility managers and security service providers as well as fire protection officers and specialist planners with the right security systems for preventive and defensive fire protection. Concert or trade fair organisers, property developers and anyone else who needs temporary solutions now also benefit from our innovative mobile concept. This allows emergency services to react flexibly and contain dangers. And, of course, first responders as well: the First Aid SafeCaddy®, which should actually be in every public building and on every construction site and also find its place in every sports hall and stadium, for example. Of course, this also applies to all other types of events. Because no matter whether it's training or a competition, a school concert or a big open-air festival: in an emergency, it's often only a matter of seconds," says Ferdinand Munk.

Extensive accessories

All SafeCaddy® variants from Munk Rettungstechnik can be easily upgraded with additional accessories and equipped individually. The tarpaulin with viewing window protects the contents of the mobile system from dirt and rain and at the same time allows a quick view of the contents. Thanks to smooth-running zips on the tarpaulin, all rescue and aid equipment is ready to hand in seconds, even when the cover is on.

Another plus point for operations on rough terrain comes in the form of the optional off-road sheet, which offers additional protection even on adverse terrain. In this way, first responders can reliably and safely bring the life-saving equipment to the scene of an emergency, even under difficult conditions and especially at events that take place outside buildings, where they can directly start effective fire-fighting measures or immediate life-saving measures.

Rescue equipment "Made in Germany
