Start of training: Flying high with access equipment

Six apprentices start their professional careers at the Munk Group.

02/09/2024

Press release

The start of September was equally exciting for the Munk Group and six young people: they are taking the first step towards their professional future by starting their apprenticeships at the family-run company. Over the next three years, they will complete their apprenticeships as industrial clerks, metalworkers specialising in construction technology and warehouse logistics specialists.

Owner and Managing Director Ferdinand Munk welcomed the career starters together with their parents and gave them a tour of the 150,000 square metres of production space at the two sites and explained the access technology specialist's philosophy. The ‘fresh’ trainees and students learnt that the product range not only includes ladders of all kinds. Mobile scaffolding and special constructions such as docking and maintenance systems for aeroplanes and trains, transport logistics as well as rescue technology and profile technology also leave the plants all over the world. The fact that the company promise ‘Safety. Made in Germany’ and quality work are practised here day in, day out, was just as evident on the tour as the team-orientated working atmosphere and the social responsibility that is assumed for the employees.

Following the tour of the company, the career starters were able to take up their positions in their first training stations and get a taste of their future tasks. The Munk Group pursues a concept of responsibility, co-determination and broadening horizons. ‘With us, everyone is fully familiarised with their future areas of responsibility at an early stage and involved in projects. In doing so, we provide targeted support, but of course we also demand commitment, flexibility and a willingness to learn,’ said Ferdinand Munk. In addition to rotation through the company's divisions and departments and external tuition, the trainees receive intensive support at the company's own CAMPUS training centre. The training concept of the ‘Bavaria's Best 50’ company, which is also certified with the ‘Career and Family’ audit, offers projects, workshops and individual support. This creates ideal conditions in which the young people can gain a variety of learning experiences. The next few weeks will be particularly varied: introductory activities, project work and a team excursion are on the programme. The MUNK motto as an employer ‘We are human, with safety’ will accompany the young people throughout their training. And beyond. After completing their apprenticeship, there is a guarantee of employment and nothing stands in the way of direct career entry with numerous opportunities for further qualification and many benefits.

The Munk Group currently employs a total of 26 trainees and students. With a qualified qualification at the end of their apprenticeship or studies, they will have a solid foundation for their future career. ‘We are proud of the young people who qualify with us and work towards their goals with commitment and responsibility. Good training is the key to success - for the career starters themselves, but also for us as a growth company that relies on qualified young talent,’ continues Munk.
