Quick help comes in the SafeCaddy

FeuerTrutz: MUNK Rettungstechnik presents innovative solutions for fire protection

28/04/2025

Press release

Detect hazards more quickly and, in case of an emergency, transport the necessary aids to the place of operation as quickly as possible in order to save lives: That's exactly what first responders and security forces can do with MUNK Rettungstechnik's SafeCaddy mobile security system. The practical roll-caddy has been explicitly designed to optimise preventive and defensive fire protection and first aid in buildings and on construction sites or at events. Especially cool: The SafeCaddy combines all necessary equipment in a single mobile unit. You can see the SafeCaddy at FeuerTrutz in Nuremberg at the MUNK Rettungstechnik stand (Hall 4A/Stand 319). The new wall holders for ladders will also be celebrating the premiere at the trade fair, with which administrators of public facilities will be able to use both rung ladders and step ladders for emergency services in the future. In Nuremberg, Munk will also be presenting its rolling containers, fire extinguisher transport trolleys and plug-in ladders as well as fixed ladders, with which users create an additional safe escape route.

"No matter what situation: In an emergency, seconds can decide life and death. With our SafeCaddy concept, first responders gain exactly this time and can start fire fighting or life-saving emergency measures faster than ever," says Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of MUNK Group.

Ergonomic handling

Rapid assistance is guaranteed. Because of its compact and lightweight design, as well as the large, profiled transport rollers, each SafeCaddy of the MUNK Rettungstechnik can be safely and easily brought to the place of use by just one person. Emergency personnel and first responders transport their entire equipment ergonomically, back-gently and quickly from A to B.

Extinguishing agents and first aid equipment

The SafeCaddy fire protection variant is equipped with a fire extinguisher with six litres of fluorine-free foam and a 2 kg CO2 extinguisher, the SafeCaddy mobile fire alarm system (BMA) with a 6 kg ABC powder extinguisher and also a 2 kg CO2 fire extinguisher. The centrepiece of the "First Aid" variant is a large first aid case (according to DIN 13169), a fully automatic defibrillator (AED), which can also be operated by non-specialists. All SafeCaddies of the MUNK Rettungstechnik also have a spacious aluminium box that can be loaded individually.

The SafeCaddy versions are available pre-configured or unloaded and can also be retrofitted and extended to suit the user by additional accessories such as a cover with a viewing window, an off-road sheet or other brackets.

In addition to the SafeCaddy, the MUNK Rettungstechnik also brings its robust and durable roll containers and fire extinguisher transport trolleys to Nuremberg for even more rapid help, with which users can transport their aids just as easily and quickly.

New wall holders accommodate rung and step ladders

The facility managers of public buildings, residential complexes and event venues should also visit Munk's exhibition stand, because the new fire brigade ladder owners of the Bavarian quality manufacturer will also be present in Nuremberg: From summer, Munk will be offering new wall brackets that can now accommodate step ladders in addition to rung ladders.

The ladder holders made of galvanised and coated steel are wall-mounted and protect the ladders from theft using either a key or CL1 lock. Building managers thus ensure that the climbing technology prescribed by building regulations and fire protection regulations is at hand at all times.

In addition to practical conductor holders, the MUNK Rettungstechnik also presents conductors for the rescuers themselves with the plug-in conductors according to DIN EN 1147 Your conductor parts can be combined with secure plug connections with locking bolts in a few simple steps to form a large rescue ladder. Alternatively, the conductor parts can also be converted to a stepladder using a plug-in connector.

Ladders as a second escape route

The fixed ladders of the MUNK Günzburger Steigtechnik will also be present in Nuremberg: Permanently installed access solutions that ensure safe ascent and descent even at high altitudes and can be ideally configured as an additional escape route in the event of an emergency or fire in accordance with DIN 14094-1. In order to flexibly create the right solution for every building and every purpose, Munk ladders are designed in a modular system: Planners can choose from the materials galvanised steel, stainless steel and aluminium, as well as a variety of possible equipment such as wall brackets or access barriers.

This is particularly simple and tailored to the target facade with the ladder configurator with realistic wall simulation at www.munk-group.com/en/configurator. For the first time, the existing wall and roof surfaces can also be precisely modelled, mapped with all interfering contours such as pipes, windows and cornices, and taken into account in the configuration of the ladders. Convenient: MUNK accompanies its customers through the entire project planning and delivery process through to the installation of the ladders by the MUNK Service service division.
