FlexxTower SGX: Fast and safe at over nine metres of working height

New one-person scaffolding from Munk can also be installed with three instead of two levels by just one person without tools

Press release

Work safely and ergonomically at over nine metres, regardless of the trade: This is now possible with the new one-person scaffolding FlexxTower SGX from Munk Günzburger access equipment. In the SGX version, the FlexxTower is equipped with three instead of two levels as standard and a leading safety railing. At all levels, the scaffold also features the user-friendly Ergo platform: It is up to 40% lighter than conventional scaffold platforms, thus protecting the user enormously. The scaffold can be set up and dismantled without tools by just one person, but it also offers enough space for two people on its 1.80-metre-long working platform. Top: The FlexxTower SGX was included in the occupational safety program of BG BAU and the stair kit is also sponsored by BG BAU. It is ideal for compensating for height differences, for example when used in stairwells.

"With our FlexxTower SGX, professionals in construction, craft and industry can reach completely new working heights when working with a one-person scaffold – and also achieve a new level of occupational safety: In the standard version with an Ergo platform on all levels and a leading safety railing, full user safety is clearly the focus of the FlexxTower SGX," says Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of MUNK Group.

Three-level XXL scaffold

With its three levels, the FlexxTower SGX has a platform height of 7.55 metres, allowing users to reach working heights of up to 9.55 metres. Like the other members of the FlexxTower series, the FlexxTower SGX can be assembled and dismantled by just one person without the need for tools. At lower workplaces, the scaffold can also be flexibly mounted at lower installation heights. The FlexxTower SGX complies with all applicable regulations and complies with DIN EN 1004.

With Ergo platform as standard

The FlexxTower SGX comes with an Ergo platform as standard The FlexxTower SGX offers a special handling advantage from the factory, because the XXL innovation is equipped with the 1.80-metre-long Ergo platform for rolling scaffolds on all three levels. This consists of a composite material with a fibre glass content and is thus up to 40% lighter than comparable rolling scaffold platforms. Due to its low weight, the Ergo platform greatly reduces the load on users during assembly and dismantling and also reduces the risk of occupational accidents. Two grip rails provide additional stability and also facilitate handling.

BG BAU promotes acquisition

Maximum occupational safety is worthwhile: Like the smaller FlexxTower SG, the FlexxTower SGX version is equipped with a leading safety railing and qualifies for the occupational safety and health bonus program of the German construction industry (BG BAU). Users can thus receive subsidies when purchasing the one-person scaffolding: BG BAU takes over up to 1,500 euros here.

Easy assembly

The handy and lightweight individual aluminium components can be easily and simply moved from level to level during assembly using the extendable suspension brackets integrated into the platform. Quick-release fasteners and scaffolding claws enable the components to be connected quickly and securely without tools.

Telescopic triangular stabilisers with swivel feet ensure maximum stability for the FlexxTower SGX. They are infinitely adjustable on the frame tubes of the scaffolding. Uneven surfaces can also be levelled out using height-adjustable castors.

Door-accessible transport trolley possible

In addition to top occupational safety, the scaffolding is also characterised in practise by its low weight and compact dimensions, which also make handling in the warehouse, during transport and on the construction site enormously easier. A transport trolley can be built from a few individual parts without tools, in which the remaining scaffolding parts or other materials can be transported quickly and, above all, ergonomically. The FlexxTower SGX not only fits through all common doors, but can also be transported in many commercial vehicles.

As with all products, the Munk Günzburger access equipment does not compromise on the quality of the one-person scaffolding. "With the FlexxTower SGX, we also meet the certified proof of origin 'Made in Germany' and, as for our entire series range, offer a 15-year warranty," emphasises Ferdinand Munk.
