Press release

The hardware industry is gathering in Cologne, and Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik is once again attracting attention. When more than 2,600 exhibitors present their latest products at the international hardware fair from 3 to 6 March 2026, the focus will once again be on Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik's stand A009 in Hall 3.2. Ferdinand Munk and his team will be presenting their wide range of access technology products there – in addition to selected new products for 2026, they will also be showcasing a whole range of classics for occupational health and safety.

"Despite all the criticism that the hardware fair has recently received, for us it remains a very important platform for close exchange with customers and, above all, with specialist trade partners in the hardware industry. That is the focus of this trade fair. We are a German quality manufacturer and have safety made in Germany firmly anchored in our DNA. Nowhere is it more evident how our quality standards stand out from those of other manufacturers from outside Europe than at the Eisenwarenmesse. We do not compromise on safety, and we deliberately demonstrate this at our stand," explains Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of the Munk Group.

A whole range of new products

In Cologne, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik is presenting its latest innovations, such as its new mobile assembly platform, which makes working at low heights more comfortable and efficient than ever before. The modular system can be assembled and disassembled without tools and can also be used as a transport trolley for tools and materials.

The new FlexxTower SG ergo

The range of mobile scaffolding has also been upgraded: Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik now offers its popular FlexxTower SG single-person mobile scaffold in an ‘ergo’ version – with an integrated 1.20 m long ergo platform that is up to 40 per cent lighter than conventional platforms. The versions with front-mounted SG safety railings are part of the BG Bau subsidy programme.

Complete flexibility with modular access equipment

The quality manufacturer from Bavaria is presenting its new modular access equipment concept at the Eisenwarenmesse trade fair in Cologne. As the name suggests, these are modular, expandable products, such as plug-in step ladders and platform ladders, the ML folding step ladder and the single-person scaffolding from the FlexxTower series. All modular expandable products can be assembled, disassembled and converted completely without tools using plug-in connections. This allows users to easily adapt their access technology to a wide range of working heights – with complete work safety.

Configure access equipment on site yourself

At the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik stand, visitors can use the online configurator with touch screen to put together their own individual access equipment solution, such as a fixed ladder, a step ladder or a walkway system, as well as stairs (with and without platforms). New options are available for configuration, such as flush beams or different chassis (for platform stairs).

Increase safety with the right accessories

This will also be clear in Cologne: with the right accessories, efficiency, safety and flexibility in everyday work can be increased.  This applies in particular to products such as the flexible nivello ladder shoe, which ensures a secure footing on any surface, ladder head locks for a firm hold right from the start, and the range of rollers from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik. These allow ladders, steps or platforms to be transported ergonomically and with minimal effort. Handrails, railings, safety doors and exit rails provide additional safety when ascending and descending, as do the anti-slip ‘clip-step’ treads for step ladders, which can also be retrofitted.
