Safe at height, flexible on the ground

Six different mast and scissor platforms extend the FlexxLift range from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik

08/10/2026

Press release

Whether in skilled trades, building services, warehouse logistics, facility maintenance or the food industry: users who regularly have to work at heights of up to five metres can now look forward to extra flexibility and comfort. Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik has expanded its FlexxLift range of small work platforms by six new models. Alongside the existing push models, it now also offers manually movable and self-propelled mast and scissor platforms with electric drive. Not just for indoor use: the new FlexxLift 5.0 SDX is also approved for outdoor use.

The new models ML FlexxLift 4.0 MP and ML FlexxLift 4.0 MP (EX) are manually movable mast platforms. The FlexxLift 5.0 SP completes the range as a manually movable scissor platform with a battery-electric lifting system. The FlexxLift 5.0 MD, FlexxLift 5.0 SD and FlexxLift 5.0 SDX are self-propelled platforms, each with a battery-electric drive and lifting system.

“The expansion of the FlexxLift range is another milestone in optimising our series portfolio. The variety of the new generation opens up new possibilities for safe workflows for users, whether for assembly or maintenance work”, says Ferdinand Munk, Managing Director and owner of the Munk Group.

More safety, greater efficiency

With their closed protective cages, the FlexxLift platforms from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik offer a high level of occupational safety and enough space for tools and materials. Users can set the required working height freely and precisely. Particularly practical: on the self-propelled models, the platform can be operated directly from the work basket. This lets users adjust their working position at any time, even when raised, and move the platform efficiently at the site. The drive can be disengaged so that the platforms can also be manoeuvred by hand when required. “That is a great advantage, especially in confined areas where every centimetre counts”, says Ferdinand Munk.

No electricity, no oil

The new ML FlexxLift 4.0 MP is a 100% manually operated “Push around Vertical Access” (PAV) working platform of European machine class 1A. At 273 kg, the ML version is a lightweight. As it needs neither battery nor hydraulic oil, it is suitable for use in the food industry or in cleanroom technology. A crank raises the platform to the required working height. A patented, integrated, pre-tensioned spring system provides the mass balancing. Another bonus: the whole process is almost silent. On request, the ML FlexxLift 4.0 MP is also available in an EX version, i.e. an explosion-protected design that allows safe working even in environments with flammable gases, vapours or dusts.

FlexxLift with scissor lift system: comfortable to operate

While mast platforms can also work around obstacles such as desks or shelves, scissor platforms show their strengths in operating comfort and higher load capacities. This also applies to the manually movable FlexxLift 5.0 SP with battery-electric lifting system and spacious platform. At the push of a button, it comfortably reaches a working height of up to five metres.

Self-propelled mobile elevating work platforms for frequent relocation

Users have a free choice with the new self-propelled FlexxLift models from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik, which are available as a mast version (5.0 MD) or as scissor platforms (5.0 SD and 5.0 SDX). All three models belong to equipment class 3A and have a battery-powered electric drive and lifting system. Thanks to the electric drive, they are particularly well suited to work involving frequent relocation. The FlexxLift 5.0 SDX is approved for outdoor use and, when required, offers particularly generous space for working and for storing tools and materials: its platform can be extended by up to 300 mm on each side.

Compact dimensions and low dead weight

With compact dimensions from 1,180 x 735 mm to 1,294 x 765 mm and a passage height of just 1,821 mm, all new FlexxLift models from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik can be moved effortlessly through doors and corridors or transported in lifts. The footprint matches a Euro pallet, which makes both storage and transport easier. The new Munk products also score points on dead weight: even the largest version of the SDX variant stays under 500 kilograms and can therefore be used without problems on sensitive floors, such as tiled surfaces.

Suitable for sensitive floors

“Especially with self-propelled platforms, many rental companies have so far offered models in the 700 to 850 kg weight class, which are unsuitable for use on sensitive floors or on floors with low load-bearing capacity. We offer a powerful alternative here”, says Alexander Werdich, also Managing Director and owner of the Munk Group.

BG Bau subsidises the purchase of a FlexxLift by up to 50%

Fully enclosed work basket, infinitely adjustable working height, secure storage for tools and – optionally – personal protective equipment against falls from a height (PPEaFH) that can be attached to the protective cage: this concept also convinces BG Bau, which subsidises the purchase of a FlexxLift by up to 50%.
