Successful year with Christmas party "to go"

Innovations and growth at the access technology specialist. 44 anniversaries for long-service company employees and a Christmas party "to go”

Press release

Special times require special solutions: It is in this spirit that this year's end-of-year party for the access technology specialist will be held "to go". Despite all the challenges posed by the Corona pandemic, the management team is taking a positive view of the year as a whole, with an increase in sales and newly created jobs as at the year end.  The family firm has consistently continued to expand its innovation and technology leadership through numerous product innovations, and benefits from its successful 'made in Germany' cachet, especially during the Corona pandemic. The management team is also proud to have won several company awards and wishes to thank the 44 jubilee employees for their many years of loyalty.

"We have been able to experience a lot of positives and successes in the exceptional year of 2020, despite all the challenges we faced. The performance of each individual, and our interaction as a team were the foundation that enabled us to close the year with an increase in sales and without short-time work or layoffs," says Ferdinand Munk.

Both in terms of series production and individual special designs as well as rescue equipment, access technology experts have developed innovative products and technical innovations with added value for the user. Thanks to the consistent 'Made in Germany' strategy, there have been no delayed deliveries or losses of sales even during the pandemic. Indeed, sales actually increased compared to the previous year, and new jobs were created. These successes have been crowned by the award of a badge of honour as one of the three most impressive SMEs in Germany, at the Grand Prix of Small and Medium Business award; this is something that the team built around Ferdinand Munk is just as delighted with as the other renowned awards for innovative strength, training and employer attractiveness.

"We also want to pass on the success of the year to our team. Instead of our end-of-year party, which unfortunately could not be held this year, we simply rolled up our sleeves and created a 'Christmas party to go': with our approximately 100-page annual review, every employee will be able to look back on the access technology year and get in the Christmas spirit at home with a few surprises and treats. A personalised stainless steel bottle for the new free drinking water dispensers rounds off our package, and we would like to express our thanks and appreciation to everyone in this way," affirms Ferdinand Munk.

The Günzburger Steigtechnik workforce is growing steadily and currently numbers around 380 employees. Among them are 44 employees who have been with the company for between five and 40 years. Managing director Ferdinand Munk is a very special long-service employee among those honoured with 40 years of service.

The access technology manufacturer is starting the new year with optimism and is looking forward to the plant expansions already under construction and new projects under the flag of the future process: 'Future Munk'.
