Top 100 Award 2018
For the 25th time, the TOP 100 competition has crowned the German SME sector's most innovative companies. This year's innovation leaders once again include Günzburger Steigtechnik GmbH. This was the analysis of the scientific manager of TOP 100, Prof. Nikolaus Franke. As a mentor of the TOP 100, Ranga Yogeshwar honoured the company from Günzburg together with Franke and compamedia at the 5th German SME Summit in Ludwigsburg. Günzburger Steigtechnik has now catapulted itself into this innovation elite for the fourth time in a row. In the independent selection process, the company with around 300 employees especially impressed the judging panel in the "Innovation success" category.

The product innovation: With the "clip-step R13" step padding for step ladders, the highest level of slip resistance (slip class R13) can be achieved as standard on step ladders for the first time. Premier Grand Prix of Small and Medium Enterprises 2017
Since 1994, the "Grand Prix of Small and Medium Enterprises" has been the only business award in Germany to consider numbers, innovations or jobs, as well as the company as a whole, in its complex role in society.
With the renewed award from the "Grand Prix of Small and Medium Enterprises", Günzburger Steigtechnik is one of the most highly decorated family-owned companies in the Bavarian SME sector.
Top 100 Award 2017
Since 1993, compamedia has been awarding the TOP 100 Seal in recognition of outstanding innovative strength and above-average innovation success to SME sector companies. Since 2002, the scientific direction has been in the hands of Prof. Nikolaus Franke. Franke is founder and director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and guest researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
With 18 research prizes and over 200 publications, he is regarded internationally as one of the leading innovation researchers. The mentor to the TOP 100 is the science journalist and TV presenter Ranga Yogeshwar. Its project partners are the Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research and the BVMW SME association.
