Press release

Maintenance and maintenance platforms for the Leopard 2 battle tank, catwalks for the Boxer armoured car or work platforms for the CH-53 cargo helicopter and the Sealion NH-90: special constructions of the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik can no longer be imagined without the production and workshops of the German Bundeswehr outfitters. The same applies to the access equipment and logistics solutions of the quality manufacturer from Bavaria, which can be found in many barracks and other properties. Munk Group provides a comprehensive overview of the broad product range of its two divisions, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik and Munk Rettungstechnik, not only in its 90-page catalogue "Security and Deployment Technology" with a focus on defence and BOS, but also at the most important trade fairs and congresses such as RÜ.NET in Koblenz, the Forum Bundeswehr Logistics (Erfurt), the crisis prevention symposium (also Erfurt) and LOG:NET (Koblenz).

"I am proud that with our know-how and our 125 years of experience in the field of climbing and rescue equipment, we are a strong partner for the armaments industry, the units of the German armed forces as well as the authorities and organisations with security tasks. Whether in the maintenance and repair of emergency vehicles, in civil use or even in military use: Users and emergency services know that they can rely on our products 100 percent at any time. We stand for this with our promise: "Security made in Germany", says Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of Munk Group. As Chairman of the Bundeswehr and BOS Commission, Munk is also the first point of contact for security issues in the German Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. BVMW e.V."

No compromise on occupational safety

When it comes to the prevention of hazards, occupational safety is at the top. This is proven by a whole range of manufacturers who rely on high-end special constructions from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik for the production and maintenance of their vehicles, aircraft or helicopters. For example, the NH-90 Sealion transport helicopter is installed and maintained on contoured maintenance platforms that can be adjusted in height. With the Leopard 2 battle tank, several workshop employees can simultaneously perform their tasks safely and effectively thanks to mobile work platforms. The following applies both to manufacturers and barracks: The individually configurable special constructions are supplemented in many workshops by products from the series program of the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik, such as height-adjustable machine platforms, telescopic work platforms or platform stairs.

Anchored in the barracks

Those responsible rely not only on the OEM outfitters, but also on the barracks and other properties of the Bundeswehr. They rely on the climbing technology solutions from Günzburg: From the two-part folding ladder to rung and step ladders in a wide variety of designs, to modular, expandable climbing technology solutions and scaffolds such as the one-person FlexxTower scaffold. In the new SGX version, this even allows working heights of more than nine metres.

Many practical helpers

Other practical helpers in everyday barracks are the stepladder for trucks with magnetic ladder head protection and the nivello flexible ladder shoe with intelligent 2-axis inclination technology, or folding platforms with stairs in lightweight design for workshop or medical containers. If required, these can be individually adapted to military needs as well as special ladders as ascent aids for containers and vehicles.

Configure access equipment yourself

If you are looking for fixed access equipment for your barracks or property, you can configure the right solution yourself at the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik. The ladder configurator at www.munk-group.com/en/configurator makes this possible with innovative 3D planning. stairs, bridging steps and catwalks can also be individually assembled here.

For tools and equipment

The Munk Rettungstechnik division offers a wide range of products in the field of transport logistics for tools and equipment. Here, the range ranges from stackable aluminium transport boxes (with and without lid, sizes 1 to 6) to the various versions of roll containers, which can be loaded completely freely. This allows all applications and requirements to be covered – regardless of whether it is a question of respiratory protection, hoses, foam agents or even electricity-light devices. New features of the mobile containers family are the "Forest Fire", "Flood Protection" and "Emergency Meeting Point" versions, which have been specially developed for the needs of disaster management. In addition to the wide standard range, there is also a wide range of pre-configured series-production or even very individual solutions in the mobile containers range of the Munk Rettungstechnik. All mobile containers can also be used off-road with an off-road landing gear set.

Rapid rescue comes in SafeCaddy

Among the latest innovations at Munk Rettungstechnik is a new mobile security system specifically designed for fire prevention, preventative fire protection and first aid: With the SafeCaddy, first responders bring their important aids and rescue equipment quickly, safely and easily to the place of operation and can act before the emergency services arrive. The SafeCaddy is available in three basic versions: "Fire Protection", "Mobile Fire Alarm System (BMA)" and "First Aid".

New: Multifunctional stretcher storage

Also new in the program of "Safety and Emergency Equipment" is the multifunctional stretcher storage system of the Munk Rettungstechnik, which offers emergency services added value not only in major damage situations, but also in the medical and emergency services. Thanks to its low weight and compact dimensions, the new product is easy to transport and then quickly set up. The stretcher storage is designed so that injured persons can also be placed in shock storage. It has been specially developed for use in fire brigades, emergency services, disaster control, THW and the military. Especially practical: The stretcher storage can also be used as a table, dock ladder or bench.

Competent advice for the Defence segment

"As diverse as the requirements are, so are our solutions for military and civilian use. Here we consistently rely on individual expert advice from our specialists and continue to expand the Defence and BOS segment," says Alexander Werdich, also owner and managing director of Munk Group. With Markus Geier, the defence/BOS division of Munk Group has its own key account manager in sales, who takes care of the enquiries from the Bundeswehr and the BOS organisations.

Fit for access equipment – also as field seminars

The Munk Group supports the German armed forces and BOS organisations not only in the procurement, but also in the proper testing and maintenance of their climb and rescue equipment. Through the Munk Service business unit, Munk Group offers campus seminars for testing and maintenance throughout the year. These can also be held as field seminars at different locations.
