MUNK Group provides mobile playpens for the little ones at the Waldbad

Press release

Even safer bathing at Waldbad Günzburg: four new, high-quality playpens are now available for the youngest bathers. They offer toddlers a protected area while parents change, look after other siblings or are unable to be with their child for a short time. This prevents the little ones from running towards the water unsupervised – effectively avoiding dangerous situations.

The idea for this family-friendly safety solution came from Lothar Böck, CEO of Stadtwerke Günzburg, and Josef Fritz, operator of the Waldbad restaurant. A committed partner from the neighbourhood, the MUNK Group, was found to implement the idea: the family-owned company from the neighbouring Donauried industrial park had the playpens specially made and provided them to the Waldbad free of charge.

‘As a company with strong roots in Günzburg, safety in our home region is particularly important to us – especially for the little ones. With the new playpens, we want to help families enjoy the summer at the Waldbad even more,’ explains Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of the Munk Group.

The Munk Group's motto, “Safety. Made in Germany”, brings it right where it counts: to the people on site – and thus makes a practical contribution to relaxed visits to outdoor swimming pools. The playpens are robust, durable and flexibly mounted on castors. They can be used at various locations in the pool area as required – wherever parents and staff need them most.

With the new equipment, Waldbad Günzburg is living up to its claim of offering not only swimming fun, but also a safe environment for all age groups – especially for families with small children. Lothar Böck, CEO of Stadtwerke, says: ‘With the new playpens, we are creating an even safer and more family-friendly environment at Waldbad. Local partnerships show how pragmatic commitment to the community works.’

The playpens are now available for hire in the children's paddling pool area and inside the kiosk.
