Visitors to Interschutz 2026 are in for a treat: in Hall 26, Munk Rettungstechnik is redefining logistics in the outdoor sector. Munk Rettungstechnik will be presenting this and a whole host of other innovations at its stand K02 in Hanover. The focus will be on new solutions for operational logistics, the new roll-container configurator, as well as practical product developments and live talks with experts from the field.
“We are very much looking forward to the trade fair, as we will be presenting a new off-road development at Interschutz that redefines off-road logistics and eclipses all previous solutions,” says Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of the Munk Group, based in Günzburg and Leipheim. Munk does not wish to reveal any further details in the run-up to the event, to keep the anticipation high until the premiere at the trade fair: “Visitors to the stand will be able to test our new product extensively – in a wide variety of environments.”
Focus on new operational challenges
In light of new challenges such as wildfires and extreme weather conditions, the company is increasingly focusing on operations in rough terrain. With this new development in off-road technology, Munk Rettungstechnik is responding swiftly to the increased demands of operational logistics. “Especially off the beaten track, there is a need for new, flexible and robust solutions that make the transport of equipment and the supply of materials at the scene of an incident faster, more efficient and safer,” says Munk.
New configurator for bespoke mobile containers
Munk Rettungstechnik’s core expertise and the central theme of the trade fair is the full range of mobile containers, which can now be customised to suit individual requirements using the new mobile container configurator. With this digital tool, fire services and other emergency services organisations will in future be able to put together their own mobile container models and adapt them to their equipment and needs. “We are proud to be the first supplier ever to present a digital configurator solution that opens up entirely new possibilities for these units,” says Munk.
New: the Rescue Equipment Guide
Anyone looking for inspiration for a bespoke roll-out container solution can take a look at the new Munk Rettungstechnik Rescue Equipment Guide No. 10 at the trade fair. Published just in time for the trade fair, the guide showcases not only the complete standard range of rescue equipment but also, through over 100 real-world examples, how the roll containers can be adapted and loaded for a wide variety of scenarios and applications.
Impact and pry hook makes operations easier
Another product highlight at the newly designed exhibition stand in Hall 26 is the new impact and pry hook, which Munk Rettungstechnik has designed specifically for flexible operations in confined spaces. Weighing just three kilograms, this compact tool delivers a powerful impact whilst being very easy to use. The chisel-shaped galvanised steel head allows emergency personnel to strike and tear down or pull out structural elements and obstacles. The aluminium shaft can be extended from one to two metres without tools thanks to the spring-loaded snap locks, whilst the D-handle enables quick and safe use – even in difficult conditions and when wearing gloves. “The mix of materials ensures a good balance between stability and low weight and optimises handling,” summarises Ferdinand Munk.
Another new addition to the Munk Rettungstechnik range is the multifunctional stretcher support system, which offers added value to emergency services not only in major disaster situations but also in medical and ambulance services. Thanks to its low weight and compact dimensions, this new product is easy to transport and can be set up quickly. The stretcher support is designed so that casualties can also be placed in the shock position. It has been specially developed for use by the fire service, ambulance services, civil protection, aid organisations and the military. Particularly practical: the stretcher support can also be used as a table, a leaning ladder or a bench.
Sticker set for retrofitting ladders
Munk Rettungstechnik is setting a shining example in Hanover and, at Interschutz, is expanding its market-leading range from the Glow series with a photoluminescent effect: the company has developed a special retrofit kit for telescopic and three-section extension ladders for fire services and emergency services in urban areas. “This allows fire services to apply stickers to the sides of their existing equipment at a later date. This prevents accidents when emergency personnel have to use or cross footpaths and cycle paths at dusk or in the dark, and makes operations even safer,” says Alexander Werdich, also owner and managing director of the Munk Group.
Talks, seminars, training sessions – all live
Visitors to the Munk Rettungstechnik stand at Interschutz will be able to find out every hour how operations are carried out safely and efficiently in practice: there, experts will discuss challenges and smart solutions in live talks, offering valuable tips for day-to-day rescue work. Professionals will also demonstrate how to properly maintain and repair their equipment after an operation. The Munk Service team will also be providing information on comprehensive seminars covering the maintenance and inspection of rescue equipment. In just one day, qualified inspectors can acquire the necessary specialist knowledge at the one-day seminars ‘Portable fire ladders and rescue platforms’ and ‘Inspection and maintenance of roll-out containers’. Munk is the only provider to organise a combined seminar on the “Inspection and Maintenance of Portable Fire Ladders and Roll Containers”: this combines both one-day seminars and therefore takes place over two consecutive days.
Ladders for the home in fire service design
As a special trade fair promotion, the Munk Group is offering an exclusive deal throughout the event: visitors can secure a standard ladder or box featuring exclusive decals by 112design at a special trade fair price, either in person at the stand or online. The decals, in a yellow and red fire brigade design, can also be customised. For younger visitors, the roll-out container for the children’s fire brigade is ready to be explored at the stand. The special design, which looks like a fire engine, is also perfect for a quick snap with your mobile phone at Interschutz.
The full range
Munk Rettungstechnik’s exhibition is rounded off by a tour of its comprehensive product range. The leading supplier of rescue technology is presenting its fire service ladders compliant with DIN and Ö-NORM standards, its extensive range of fire service boxes and its wide selection of accessories in Hanover. The ‘Standards Corner’ – offering expert technical advice from Munk Rettungstechnik’s standards experts – and a ladder test rig will also be on display in Hanover. ‘We are the go-to experts for all matters relating to the rescue services. We will prove this once again in Hanover,’ says Ferdinand Munk.
