Press release

On 1 September 2026, the Munk Group welcomed eleven new apprentices and dual-study students to its team. The company has another reason to celebrate this year: the Handelsblatt newspaper has named the Munk Group ‘Trainer of the Year 2026’ as part of its training rankings. The award highlights the company’s long-standing commitment to high-quality, future-oriented training.

The young professionals are starting their careers at one of Germany’s leading manufacturers of access and rescue technology. They were welcomed at the company’s site in Günzburg by Harald Gruber, Head of Human Resources; Alexander Werdich, owner and managing director; Margit Werdich-Munk, HR officer; and Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director.

The Munk Group has been consistently providing apprenticeships for years and maintains an apprenticeship quota of six per cent. Apprentices are provided with their own laptop and a portable workbench. Coaching and further training programmes support them throughout their apprenticeship. Furthermore, the company offers a direct promise of permanent employment.

“Young people who start with us take on responsibility right from the start and get to know a company that has been committed to quality and reliability for over 125 years,” says Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of the Munk Group.

The award from the *Handelsblatt* confirms this commitment. The latest apprenticeship ranking highlights companies that offer young people a good start, personal support and long-term prospects. At the Munk Group, too, the focus is on the individual development of young talent.
